So my grandma is getting that gastric bypass surgery. I'm just like, lol over it. Seriously unless you're like a living time-bomb, and you're liable to die at any given moment, it's such a lazy-man's way out. She said it's because no matter what she does, she just can't lose weight... Well, I live with you nana, I see what you do, on a daily basis

ia my step mom got gastric bypass and had the same ~story~ how she could never lose weight, she felt too embarrassed to go for walks and only did crash diets lol!! i wish people would realize that the golden rule of the universe is you get what you put in. if youre not going to exercise and watch your food intake, you wont magically lose weight. shrinking your stomach is unnatural and ugh I JUST dont understand it. if its a medical emergency, like you said, then sure. but why alter your body that way?! in the end, you will still need to work out to keep weight off :|

And it's funny, you need to get experience for people to take you seriously, but how the fuck are we EVER going to get any experience at this rate? Especially since hardly any of the jobs, well for me, take any resume's. That would be easier, because I actually have a few things that may be able to help me there, but nooooo.

heres a secret

if youre doing retail jobs, and they give you a "personality" test, theres only one right answer to each question and its ONLY ever strongly agree or strongly disagree, if you dont past these personality tests they throw your app away regardless of references and experience :S and even if you dont have experience, they'll a lot of times give you an interview SOLELY based on passing that test.

I know how you feel on the job hunt. I've done so many apps, luckily I got the illustration thing, but that won't pay me from week to week.. a steady job would still be ideal so I don't have to depend on my dad for the rent. he's got plenty on his plate and I hate adding on to it.

As for your grandma, at least its not your money, and agree unless you're dying, its a cheap (but not so cheap money wise) way to go about loosing weight.

Job hunting sucks, especially when you don't even get one lousy phone call. Sigh.

Yeah, it isn't my money, but I still have every right to be upset with how she's just throwing away A LOT of money for something that in the long run will fail. Miserably.
