This is just incredible ;;
For starters, the narrative is gloriously heartbreaking and engaging - you have a really nice style and it's so fun to read. The dialogue too, it's relatively minimal (without being bare) which just makes it so believable; it communicates the difference between the characters' personalities really effectively too~ The most important thing though, I think, is that the music terminology is used in a way that isn't intimidating for non-musical readers. I know squat about technical music terms but this was all understandable and not confusing in the least~
This is the best fic I've read in a long time, thank you for writing something so lovely!
