...I think I have a headache after reading that. What's it mean?

Zetta slow.

I'm not slow! I... just don't know what that is. It looks vaguely like math, but I've never seen math like that before.

|lame| excuses. Ignorance is always the fault of the hectopascal.

Are you trying to figure out what that woman told us, or what is going on with the situation here?

Hhn. Some Old Horses Can Always Hear Their Owner Approaching. The drums of war are zetta loud.

[A pause, because she's trying to make some sense of that. Celes isn't a moron, she's just not a math genius or anything, it's just that pieces in there really do strike her as making some sense. About the best she can do is treat it like a code and all the symbols have a meaning that Sho understands for sure.]

[And then it clicks, Sho seems to have come to the same conclusion she did, ANI and Ani's creator are somehow linked to that third party.]

The old horse appears to be afraid of the owner. The war is just starting, and it will be long and costly.

[...Hnn. Analogies. He doesn't like analogies. He likes things being concrete. Still, if they're willing to play along with his phrases - albeit in an incorrect way - he'll allow them to play the Game.]

Cost? The weight of the cost is < an atom. 200 yoctograms is still negligible.

You know--just when I was beginning to get a real case of the frustrations with ancient spooky languages and all the researchy stuff? You show up and remind how math still manages to be about ten times more lame than those things.

[Been meaning to confront you, Math-Boy. If only it were less of a broken-ribs period in the Slayer's sojourn here. She'd be glued to your trail like an old lady is glued to her television soaps. Buffy likes to think that no one should mess with her friends--especially not extra sweet ones like Shiki.]

Hnn. Ignorant integers thinking ↔ |failure|

The only failure I see around here is yours. What? Are you entirely unable to have any kind of understandable social interaction. Talk about all signs pointing to you being a huge creepster.

Social interaction is garbage. CRUNCH. I'll add that to the heap.

Any theories, or are you just taking notes?

Read the equation, radian.

I'm not a mathematician. "3P"--the third party. And I'd assume the other letters stand for other groups involved. "M", Malnosso. "F", Filial. The rogue variable, ANI. John.

Is it meant to be code, or is that really how you think?

Excuses are a radian's lim(sight). The equation's absolute.

It's mathematics.

Oh, but equations are an element of mathematics.

[ she would know, her previous host was a mathematician...of course, she's not going to voice that. ]
