The carrot's gonna dangle for at least another year

So this morning I was using my father’s computer to read an article about my brother, the architect, in a New York city magazine. Dad was standing behind me watching me read it (probably to watch my reaction because he’s so very proud of his DARLING son. *Curse the boy for setting such high standards*). The article was very nice! My brother’s a ( Read more... )

I'm sorry. You don't know me and I don't really know you, but I was reading your poems on coffe_and_art and I just loved them! You have some real talent. I'm actually a member, but I'm kind of like you I guess--I can't find the courage to post anything ( ... )

Not freaked out in the least. Actually, I feel rather flattered. Thank you so incredibly much. I’m glad to hear you liked my poems… I was feeling rather exposed after I posted them; even more so when nobody responded.
I don’t know how anyone couldn’t like the Beatles. The Beatles have always been the medium between my father and I. Whenever we’d get sick of listening to the other’s music… we’d just stick in their cd because we knew we both liked them. They are cool like that!
I am 17 and a junior in high school. I’ll be 18 in July - that’s relieving and terrifying at the same time. I would love to stay a kid forever but at the same time I’m itching to be an adult. Gotta love hormones.

I know what you mean. I really liked your poems and I couldn't help but think, "Poor girl! Her poems are great and no one responds to them!" Man...I would feel so utterly hated if I posted my poems and no one responded.

Oh the Beatles are awesome! You're right, I don't know how people can't like them! They're classics--the original rock n' roll! They're so simple yet so complex at the same time, it's amazing. They had to have been geniuses to make music like that back then. Wow. Wow.

Oh man...no wonder. How come everyone I meet on lj is at least three years my senior? You're 17, eh? Man, I'm 13. I feel so odd. I feel so utterly pathetic right now. You have no idea.

I would have never guessed you to be only 13. You seem much older. Don't worry about it... it means you have a head start on all your peers. You'll be so much more cultured. LJ is good at that!

Yes indeedy Caedmen's Call... I believe it is called Ode to San Francisco... or maybe The Ballad of San Francisco. Either way, it is a very cute song.

*laughs* Dippy….. I will never live that down will I?

We had a puppy once...he was hyper mad crazy. He ran into other peoples houses and stole their food. (I didn't train him to do it...honest.) We had to give him away to live on a farm, where he could live wild and free. His name was Muzzy. He didn't have a MasterCard. Puppys are cool...

Suuuure you didn’t train him to steal food. *points finger accusingly* Liar!
Farms are good for dogs as long as they are not super friendly and super pretty… they can get stolen that way : ( I think every puppy should have a MasterCard. There would be a great deal more puppy-family reunions in the world
