The Garden Cafe'

Many thanks to achbarr who came out and drummed for me last night at The Garden Cafe' in York. He was awesome, as always. He makes it easy for a girl to improv and zill. :-) I even got a few tips. LOL Achbarr, remind me to share those with you, I meant to give you that last night before you left but I was too sleepy to remember.

I read his tales of the evening, the cafe sounds like a wonderful place to get lost in!

It is a cute place. I liked the bouquet of wine glasses he was talking about as well. They have a big, comfy couch near a fireplace and that is my favorite place to sit in the room. Their open mics are mostly older men with guitars and an occasional poet but they seems to like my dancing... and they LOVED Achbar's drumming. The organizer even asked Achbar to back him up for his set. I'm going back on the 24th.

ok. i pulled out the fiddle last night... I'm going to try and start playing it at least 30 mins a day from now on.

maybe by the time we're in the house i'll be comfortable with it again.

You guys will have to check that place out. They do open mic every Wednesday... well... usually... we've gone down there and found out it was cancelled for some reason. The food is good too... just a little expensive.
