This is fun. I put in Jane Austen's famous quote and it identified her - good. I tried 'Last night I dreamed I went to Manderley again' and it told me that sounded like H.G. Wells. I wrote my stream of consciousness and it came out like Margaret Atwood. I put in one of my persuasive pieces of bullshit and that's Stephen King. And now I put in the Hamlet speech and you'll never guess who it guesses - Mark Twain.
I tried that one. Each of my Livejournal post got separate authors, more or less, and even individual paragraphs got different results (like one post with four paragraphs, all of which identified as James Joyce but collectively was Douglas Adams...)
Not sure if I trust that one, or if it just displays a complete lack of consistency on my part.
