I'm fairly new to Yoga as far as practice goes although I'd like to believe I've read enough about it to get by.

There really isn't a single definitive version, I'm afraid. Either try a few and stick with the one that feels right to you, or if you have an idea of which style of yoga you'd like to do in the longer term, go with the version that style teaches. I practise Sivananda yoga; there are some basic instructions for our version here.

Sun A's are usually pretty uniform (mountain to extended mountain to forward fold to half-way lift to chatarunga to upward facing down to downward facing down to half-life to forward fold to extended mountain to mountain). Sun B's generally vary widely, adding a chair pose and a few standing poses (warrior 2, extended side angle, etc).

I recently heard about online yoga classes at myyogaworks.com for $15. They're a reputable studio based out of Los Angeles who do a lot of teacher trainings across the USA, which is how I found out about them. They care a lot about proper alignment to prevent any possible injuries.

Good luck!
