How do you decide which livejournal posts on your friends page you are going to read?

The shorter ones are most-often read. Sometimes I read really long ones. Usually I just skim them to get an idea, and if they spark my interesting, I'll read the entire thing. Also, if they have pictures, I definitely look at those.

I pretty much read them all if I have nothing to do for an hour or so. Most of my communities too.

I skim for interesting things that catch my eye. I tend to read entries that aren't just one giant block of writing. Paragraphs or short lines are nice. Emphasized phrases like bolded stuff also helps. If they have cuts, I usually don't go to them until after I've skimmed all the new entries cause I don't like opening a new webpage. Then I go back and read everything I skipped in detail and go through comments.
