Little things

Okay, this is partly to procrastinate, and partly to stop and reflect on the little things that I am in danger of forgetting.  Around this time two years ago, I was frantically trying to finish my coursework, study for my Political Theory comp, and prepare for my trips to Germany and South Korea.  This time last year, I was looking forward to

Ha ha, speaking of Freiburg, Lucas emailed me again to tell me he went to one of the thermal baths near Staufen. When I think about that trip, it strikes me as deeply ironic how short it was (and how much fun we had!), yet how long it took to put it behind me.

It is ironic how the little, shorter things can have such a disproportionate impact sometimes. I'm glad the Lucas connection is largely in the past, although it looks like he still hasn't put it behind him. Hope things are going well! I'll need to call you one of these days soon. :)
