RIPOFF - FAIL! Twilight fans bite back the bloodsucking TV Network
There was a time a lot of Pinoy Twilight fans were enraged and willing to jump at and suck out the living daylights out of the executives of ABS-CBN or whoever is behind this "atrocious" plan to serialize the popular Twilight to local TV. *hyena laughter is heard from background*
Well not only is it bad, the poster itself is a pathetic and lame ripoff and so is the title itself which is roughly translated from Filipino as "Twilight". The forumers, bloggers, fans have made themselves clear enough already. A petition has been signed to halt this move. The hate is so palpable...it makes you want to keep an eye open when you sleep. LOL.
Well there is nothing unusual about something like this. "Leaks" happen all the time in showbiz and everywhere else. It always start with someone bored enough and naughty enough and attention-deprived enough to put up something like this and scatter it around like birdseeds in a park and wait for the birds to come or peck you to death. It can be a sure win or a total fail. An incredibly lame attempt to get some notoriety.
Apparently this was a total FAIL. One of the Philippines' leading TV network ABS-CBN issues an official statement that this rumor is not true.

For the record, I AM NOT A TWILIGHT FAN. Honestly, I could not give a flying rat's behind if they serialize this or not. This is not a post in defense of Twilight. I'm not buying into this whole sparkly vampire craze. I am not impressed. *shrugs* Twilight fans and me just happen to have a common enemy.
Because last time I checked...A vampire was SUPPOSED to look like THESE
But that does not mean that I like some of my favorites serialized on local TV either. I will never forgive GMA network for bastardizing Lupin the 3rd.
It's not that I hate for that to happen or that I have this sense of "ownership" but it simply shows how limited and how corrupt, pathetic and idea-drained the local TV networks these times. Educational programs for children and adults have been wiped out. We are constantly fed with all these soap opera garbage from morning till night AS IF WE NEED IT, as if OUR LIVES is not dramatic enough already as it is. Executives are all ratings-happy. Most kids these days fumble a lot on their nursery rhymes but can sing opening themes to these soap operas. Singing of love-lorn which they barely even understand. Imitating love scenes and parroting cat-fight confrontations and dialogues which they barely comprehend. There are 5-year-old kids in my neighborhood who memorized lines straight from the TV. Expletives coming out of their mouth like crazy!
We haven't had television at home since 2007 and you know what....IT'S GREAT! It's the most wonderful feeling ever. You should try it. I guarantee you'll LOVE IT!
