I'm thinking about copying all of my Livejournal entries and changing to a new blog server.  These popup ads that darken the whole screen and are unskippable for several moments are REALLY starting to annoy me.

About 25% of the times that I visit my Friends page, the browser darkens and a video ad pops up in the middle of the window.

I am not allowed to close it until watching 20-30 seconds of the video.

I have never experienced that. The most I see is a banner ad at the top.

It could be your web browser. You could have some spyware or something of the sort.

Perhaps, though it happens on every computer with which I use Livejournal.

I don't see it either, but I wonder if it's a free v. paid account thing.
