Yes, I support Ron Paul.

My uncle sent this to my email:

"...Ron Paul's record in Congress is so unblemished, so honest, so full of integrity that it is difficult to describe. This is a man who actually takes his oath to the Constitution (an oath every congressman, senator, and President also takes--but then ignores) seriously. So much so that he has never voted to ( Read more... )

Yeah, it is pretty lousy how he is being treated. I honestly don't know much about politics, and this is the first time I will be voting (yes!). Won't the primaries decide if he will be on your texas ballot?

I do stay out of politics whenever I can simply because when I tried to vote I was told I had no right to... I did a double take and asked them exactly what they meant. Then they told me I was licensed to vote at a different facility and wasn't allowed to vote at my own campus where all my friends were voting at. So, yep. Politics is a bunch of rubbish.

Anyhow, how did the veggie burger taste?

That's a pretty lousy situation. I hope you were still able to vote in the end. :(

Yeah, I think the majority of it is rubbish, but if you want to continue having rights as a citizen of your country, I think you should get involved and know what is going on in your country. To me political education = not being brainwashed. Do I make since? ^^;
In other words, im the type of person who believes everyone should make an effort to vote, cause if they don't ... That just sucks for them. D:

True, but I also believe that if you're educated enough in politics you'll also realize there are some things one voice is pretty useless against. Such as Texas, there's little that can be done to force its vote from the traditional vote it's always taken.

However, in local politics, yes, my vote does account for something. ;) Baby steps.

I had a professor who was the colleague of President Bush, at present, and admits that he doesn't know where he went wrong with him since he's taken the presidency.

You can be educated and not brainwashed while still not actively taking a part in politics. I prefer to be on the sidelines helping other people. I think I'm good at that. Hehe. I watched Obama get nailed by Clinton and Ron a second ago. That I have to admit was very interesting. Alas, no politics for me, then I just become frustrated with our government.

Very good points there. I really hope my vote won't be useless this year. D:

I watched a really interesting video. It just compared two videos of Bush giving speeches around 5-10 years apart from each other. It is AMAZING how much he changed in that period of time, just in the way he talked. Something is wrong with that fella. o_o;

I actually think I am more interested in the well being of my country rather than what is going on with individual politicians, and all that jazz. If that makes sense. I really don't know much at all about it, but I am working on it.

Unfortuantely since I don't watch any TV, I can't watch anyone get nailed by each other. I have to rely on others (like you? :P) to pass on information. ...And the interwebs? :P

I am not aware of this racism stuff. D:
P.S. Still not sure if I am voting for him, but as of now he is my candidate of choice. Need to do some research on others.

The racism debacle stems from a newsletter printed under his name, written as if it were him, and stamped with his signature. The stuff in there was very scathing toward blacks, and although Paul may have not written any of it, he did not pursue to find out who did it, and he didn't exactly apologize for it, either(he mainly remarked that it's editors who oversee day-to-day things, not the publishing head).

His voting record hasn't exactly been the best, either-- but then, most candidates fail at that. XD;;

Also, by voting record, I mean THIS.

Don't get me wrong, I love the ideals. I just don't like the guy himself.
