Okay, things are a little hectic and I'm already starting to make wedding plans. o.o I'm actually thinking of asking my mother-in-law-to-be to make my wedding dress, but I don't know if she'd finish in time... aparently, it'll be a fall wedding, but that can still work, right? And another reason I want to ask her is because I have a specific look ( Read more... )

Hi, you "friended" me, but it doesn't seem we have been introduced. I thought I would take a moment and assist you with your plans.

1: the style dress you are looking for is known as an "empire waist" which was popular during the early 1800's and is seen in a number of period films. The style comes back in to play in the early 1900's. Suggested films would be any Jane Austin based film, or even Shakespear. The most popular, and even my most favorite is the dresses worn by Kate Winslet in Titanic. In fact the style was so flattering she had a similar dress done for her first wedding in 1998. I suggest you look up some photos. It had a lovely pearl and floral head piece.

2: a good alternate place for using the net is at the library. A lot of public librarys have free access. Personaly, I use my phone.

Anyway, good luck!
W.C.

THAT'S IT EXACTLY! Wow.. I've never thought of pearls... that would look... elegant, and refined. Perhaps even dainty? Do know what kind of flowers it had? That might help, too. I'll try looking it up, but I usually just run across stuff like that by accident. ^-^;
