The biggest musical event this side of Sinchon is happening this summer at the SUMMER SPLASH CONCERT 2012! It’s a four-hour celebration of dance, laughter and music as Yonsei University proudly showcases its own talents together with very special invited guests!
Performer sign-ups are still open! Applications together with a sample video of your performance will be accepted at the Student Government Office until the 31st of July. Got talent? Share it to the rest of Yonsei and help make the SUMMER SPLASH CONCERT stage shine!

We have just crossed over to the second half of our show and during the break you heard an invitation to all the talented Yonseians out there-please do sign up as performers for the Summer Splash Concert! I’ve heard some rumors about the special guests we’ll be having, but they’re not confirmed yet so I don’t want to spread lies… I’m pretty sure we’ll be having announcements very soon though, so watch out for that!
Speaking of the fair, the Yonsei Campus Radio Team will be setting up a booth as well! We’ll be providing everyone at the Main Gate some music and entertainment, and to those of you who would like to apply for a DJ, writer or director position could very well do so. Just drop by at our booth and give us your application form along with a vocal sample and you’re all set! I am looking forward to meeting you all there

Throwback Thursdays is back and what a nice way to break through our second hour... with a little shimmy-shimmy shake, and all that jazz! *chuckles* You just heard Overture and All That Jazz by the cast of the 2002 film Chicago, directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Baz Luhrmann also helmed the films Romeo and Juliet in 1996 from which that song from Des’ree entitled Kissing You was from, and Moulin Rouge in 2001 where Ewan McGregor’s rendition of Your Song was part of. Baz Luhrmann, born Mark Anthony Luhrmann, is an Australian filmmaker, writer and producer who made his directorial debut in 1992 with the movie Strictly Ballroom

The Yonsei University Student Government is announcing its upcoming summer fair entitled SUMMER SPLASH 2012 being held on July 31 to August 4. Fun and games await everyone as well as special performances from Yonsei's very own and invited guests.
Event and activity booths are still open for sponsorship! Interested parties may send their proposals to yonsei_sg@gmail.com or contact our Student Government office at 2228-5800 loc. 221. We are looking forward to make this five-day event fun and memorable, and you being part of it is a must!
