Went out with friends. Ate ourselves sick (nearly). Watched football, whee! If you ask me, though, Germany won only by sheer luck. XD Then we played pool. I'm so baaaad at it. XD
One the way there and back in the car we listened to music from 1994. Oh dear, pop-dance-trance-techno-crap-z0rz.... Haha, nostalgia! XD Awww. <3 ( Read more... )

Well, at least you were having fun earlier in the evening.

Did your friend move away for good, or is she going to school or working on a project and then will come back? Most of the time, missing her won't hurt so much, but sometimes there will be letters or other reminders, and then the feeling gets so strong you physically ache.

Elizabeth and I were best friends while I was married to my first husband, right here in the Seattle area. Then I moved to Florida (which is as far as you can go from Seattle in the continental US). We only had the very occasional letter or phone call and a handful of short visits. But I came back 18 years later and things pretty much picked up from where they had been.

Thank you for your words and huggles.
She moved away to study to be able to work in what is basically her dream career, so there's no knowing where she'll end up later.

Yes, that's exactly what it feel like right now. She's only been away for two weeks now and already it feels like a year. :(

Cheer up! All best friends are called 'best' friends, because they always come back. Your friend would be back soon (I guess), if not, we have Internet, cell-phones, MSN, Yahoo Messanger, Skype, etc.

Uhum... Was the letter an e-mail or a paper one? If paper one... Oh, I would envy you so much! I haven't receiven any paper letters from... ages, I guess. I even don't remember what was it feeling like to touch it.

Cheers!

Internet, cell-phones, MSN, Yahoo etc. are not really a helpful substitution when you miss that one special person where being there was more precious than stupid everyday talk.

Yep, paper.

I hope she will be back soon. It seems you miss her badly. Sorry, I can't help you. I wish I could... *sigh*
