Watching the video now - always amused when socialism is presented as the antichrist or similar.
Have either of you read The Shack? If not you might like to.
When would you like to come round? A Sunday after church for lunch perhaps?

Irina sent me, so I hope you don't mind an outsider on this one. I must admit to being highly addicted to Rachel, and despite her being strongly Liberal, she does try to be somewhat balanced in her interviews. I posted a link to the full Tim LaHaye in my journal. A book that profoundly affected my views of the place of Christianity in politics was A Peculiar People by Rodney Clap, which talks about how for centuries it was the church that sponsored society, and why now that that power of sponsorship is missing or all together gone, many Christian leaders feel the end of the world is coming. Highly recomend, but I think it reflects European Christianity more so than American. American evangelicalism can't seem to let go of the role of sponsor and is now suffering decline because of it.
