That would've been the perfect chopsticks I needed when I was small :D
We had ones with a roll of paper wedged between the two chopsticks and then held by a rubber band. Pretty basic, but it worked.

I think my mom simply puts a pair of chopsticks next to the bowl of rice n we as kids just picks it up n use it !

I dont really think abt the difficulty of chopsticks until hubby told me abt his training b4 he met me in SG. He actually bought a pair n practised picking up beans out of a jar - haha ! My family was suitably amazed that he could hold it so well :-)

At home here, he also asked frequently for dishes where chopsticks r being used. Besides the main meals, he's using it for fishing potato chips n beer nuts out of a pack to save himself from greasy fingers while watching the telly - rather a smart n practicable idea eh ?

Such a cute idea - the chips & chopsticks but i think i would rather dirty my fingers - that's half the fun in eating chips ;P
i think it's lovely your husband is so into chopsticks.

Hi Sandra!

So where did you get these chopsticks from ? :) I saw one training chopsticks but the top is 'stuck' together, unlike yours (which I personally prefer)

my mum used to tie a pair of chopsticks together with a rubber band with a piece of paper in between. It works :)
