5th Birthday Parties Photos ... FINALLY!

Yes yes once again i'm late putting up Tobias' Birthday Parties photos. This year he had 4 small parties - all at the various classes he attends.

The 1st one was at K. Club - i made little cup cakes for each child (there are only 12 of them) - they celebrated it with him. i was not there, the teacher very kindly offered to take photos with our ( Read more... )

The dutch also has the same b-day custom. My hubby told me that when he was a kid, he didnt enjoyed going round the class distributing sweets.

At work, we had to carry tens of wedges of cake/pies/kuehs to treat our colleagues. It's a hassle to juggle that on a crowded train ! The following weekend is usually reserved to host the dinner party for friends n family. In SG, the b-day person is treated like a queen or king for a day - that way u would really really enjoy the occasion instead of the hectic baking schedule.

Thank goodness my hubby works out-station most of the time now n I dont hv to make the 50 curry puffs which his colleagues always requested, on his b-day *big sigh of relief* The satay party at home is still expected by his family - ya lor ... poor me .. the kitchen slave ...
