I got myself diagnosed at what, age 23? I still wish someone had noticed earlier. I am on ritalin and it's been helping me a lot. Good for Tobias that you found out, because I can tell you it's a heck of a time at school feeling so different yet having no idea why. Hope it works out for you, but knowing is half the battle :)

Hey FTH - it doesn't show that u have ADHD - what made u go get diagnosed? Yes knowing is half the battle but the next half is the long-haul! i know what u mean - my bro likely has an undiagnosed case & school was difficult for him - but now he's found himself & doing great!! i think it's different when u are an adult & your body is fully grown & able to filter the drug & can make the decision for yourself. Glad the drug is helping u. Hope to c u soon...

Not trying to push the drug on you or anything, I'm sure there are other ways that help, like proper coaching and stuff like that. It's probably a big deal just to know what is actually up and how to deal with it

Ah i c... u r on the inattentive end - T is on the hyperactivity end so that's what the teachers spotted. Different people respond to Ritalin differently - we just want to try everything else 1st before we go to the drug cos we know a couple of kids here who r on it & they are just not themselves & they don't eat & they don't sleep much! & being Asian & worse Chinese, eating is a big part of life for us - hehhehe - well, nice to know i have someone i can ask about going on the drug if it comes to that (if u r ok with me asking u that is) :)
