Ok, so who else is completely messed up by the calendar on the "my york u" page? The days of the week are listed Monday - Sunday. Who starts a calendar with MONDAY? I get that it's the first day of the school week but standard calendars start with Sunday. Sunday. Not Monday. Without fail, every groggy Thursday morning I wake up, log in to "my ( Read more... )

My macbook has a calendar on it, it's not an issue with needing a new calendar.

I was just saying that the calendar on the 'my york u' page messes me up on account of the fact that it starts on Monday. At first glance my brain doesn't connect the letter above each column, I just see the 4th square lit up and it's automatically like, "huh? Is it Wednesday??"

I appreciate this... which is why I propose ignoring the calendar altogether, because nothing screws people up like things that appear similar but aren't.

I've come across some calendars like that before. I think some business people use the Monday one because that's when work starts and Sunday is just a free day after Saturday and thus not important.
*shrugs* I don't use the myyorku site but there might be an option to change how you view calendars and a choice as to what view you want

Funny you mention that, I keep the calendar on my computer (where I put my life into) with Monday as the start of the week. I can understand if you're used to Sunday being the first day of the week, but the Monday-Sunday simply makes more sense to me.
