if one of your friends asked to do something with you for new years over some girl he'd been "seeing" what would you think?
just throwing that out there. no plans have been finalized so its no big deal, but still?

I would find that to be a tid bit strange and I would ask my friend why they wanted to be with me rather than the person they were "seeing"..
