In the nearly 3 hours play, I saw him cry, yell, hug his brother, kiss two girls, and collapse...but never saw him smile.

...

Fortunately, we still see maru smile at the end when he goes out to thank the audience. Everyone stands up and claps for him, and there is relief and happiness written on his smiling face.
And seeing Maru kiss two girls, I'd die on my seat

The kiss scene would bring heart attack for Maru shippers I guess XD

I hopped over from the kuramaru comm. Thanks for the report! It's so nice to hear Maru did such a great job. <3 It's too bad they won't be releasing a DVD... I really wanted to see this! :< I look forward to Maru's next work as an actor. :)

It is said that the director's former play has been released as DVD, so we might have chance to see Maru on DVD... but don't keep too much hope is better for our health :p

Yeah, I would have more hope if not for a tweet by one of the cast members (the one who played the grocer?). He said they won't be releasing a DVD due to licensing reasons. :( Hope they change their mind! But I agree, better not count on it for our own well being. XD

oh, i don't know that :( then i'd only wait for the miracle T_T keeping little hope won't hurt that much though.
