Yes, My Master (Chapter 7)
7:15 minutes. I turn my face from wristwatch and look around. I think everyone probably searching for me right now. I stuck in here almost 30 minutes already. It’s so dark and cold. I didn’t bring my jacket I have only a thin T-shirt. Damn it.. how unlucky I am.. I rubbed my hands together to feel warmer.
I sat down under a big tree and hug my knees. I don’t want to walk anymore because I feel the more I walk the more I get lost. Silence...Everything around me is so silence. I buried my face on my knees. Kowai. Someone help me. Yabu help me.
“ Inoo!!!”
I immediately lift my face up. I heard someone call my name, didn’t I?
“ Inoo!! Where are you?!! ” No it’s not wrong. Yabu is calling me. I quickly stand up and shout back.
“ Yabu is that you?!! I’m here! Do you hear me?! ” I try my best to shout loudly to him. I hope he can hear my voice.
“ Stand there don’t move! ” He replied me. I did what he said. I just stand there not move a single move. After few seconds I saw Yabu runs toward me with a flashlight in his hand. Eh? He comes to searching for me alone? How come?
“ I found you. ” He said while trying to catch his breath. I looked at him then jump to hug him tight. I thought I will be stuck in this forest for the rest of my life already. I’m really thankful that he comes to save me.
“ Let go of me I can’t breathe! ” He said and pushes me from him. I step away from him few centimeters then smile at him. “ Thank you for come to save me. ”
“ Take it back I don’t need it! How come you spaced out when you walk in the forest?!! Who tell you to do that? Stop being too reckless, can you?! What if something bad happen to you?! Do you think forest is a safe place for you to stay huh?! Damn! ” He suddenly shouts at me a long sentence in one breath then turns his face to the other side. Even now is dark but I still can see his face is turning red because of anger. I stunned for few minutes. Do I really make him that angry? I’m slowly looking down at my feet. I didn’t thought he will be angry like this.
“ Sorry. I didn’t mean to do that. ” I said softly almost whisper. It’s my fault. I also hate my clumsiness, but what can I do?
“ Why don’t you just continue holding hand that Takaki guy? ” I lift my face up. What the hell? Why does he need to bring Takaki into our conversation too?!
“ What? Why you suddenly mention his name? ”
“ Didn’t I tell you not to get close with him? Are you trying to disobey me? ”
“ I’m not! It’s so difficult to walk you know! ”
“ Don’t being so girly. You’re not even a girl. ” This guy..What the hell is wrong with him? Why he seems so piss off when I stay with Takaki? Isn’t that is a good time for him to get close to Arioka? Why does he need to shout at me too? I don’t understand him at all.
“ Yabu! Stop being unreasonable. It’s not the right time to argue. ” Geez.. Can I have a good conversation with him?
“ So what if I want? ”
“ You-- ” I cannot finish my word because Yabu suddenly interrupt me.
“ Quite! ” He suddenly becomes serious. What the hell?
“ Eh? ” I tilted my head and look at him innocently. I just don’t understand him. He looks like girls on their period. Shout, yell, threat.. Geez..
“ What’s wrong? ”
“ Shhh! ” I can see that he’s trying not to make loud sound. But why? Silence envelops us, I heard something weird slither at my back..Don’t tell me? I turned back my eyes open widen.
..!
..!
..Snake!!
What should I do? My heart is jumping so hard. I stared at the snake not blinking. I don’t dare to move, my body is stunned like a stone. I’m afraid if I make a move the snake will quickly come to bite me.
“ Move slowly to me, Inoo. ” Yabu who stand behind me whispered softy to me.
“ I…I..ca.. can’t.. ” I replied with shaking voice, my eyes still on that snake. Suddenly I remember I was bitten by a snake when I was young. It’s so painful. I don’t want to experience that feeling anymore.
“ Come on if you still stand there it will bite you. ” He tries to calm me down, but it doesn’t work at all. My brain tells me to move but the problem is my legs are so heavy to move. Just when I keep thinking random things the snake suddenly moves quickly toward me. I close my eyes tightly and bite my lip. I know what is going to happen next!
But then I feel my body was pulled into a warm hug with a strong strength till my body lay on the ground. I heard someone hiss. I open my eyes slowly. The first thing I saw is not that damn snake but Yabu. He is laying on me while glaring at me as if he wants to kill me.
“ Baka! I told you to move! ” He glares at me once more then stand up. I also stand up and quickly look around.
“ Where is the snake? ” I asked surprisingly when I didn’t see that snake anymore.
“ Hurry get back. ” Instead of answer my question he holds the flashlight and find way to get out, but I noticed bleed is coming out from his right arm. My eyes widen. Don’t tell me?
“ Stop! ” I quickly rush to grab his hand, but he suddenly fell on me, and that make the two of us lay on the ground again. I lift myself up and turn to Yabu who still lying.
“ Yabu! Daijoubu? You were bitten right? ” I asked panicky and look at his arm that start to get swollen. What should I do? What should I do?
“ What are you doing? ” He asked when I get my face close to his wound.
“ I need to suck the venom out before it spreads to your body. ”
“ It’s useless. ”
“ Why? It’s better than leave it doing nothing! ” I exclaimed as I hold his hand tight.
“ No need. I’m just tired. Nothing serious, come on let’s get out of here. ” He said then stood up slowly and began to walk.
“ No!! ” I stubbornly not let go of his hand. It’s my fault. He was bitten because of me. Why do you need to save me? It’s better if I was the one who was bitten. It might painful because I used to taste this feeling already, but it’s not pleasure either to see you like this baka Yabu!
“ Inoo!! Who is the master--- ” He didn’t even finish his word yet, he fell on me again. I quickly hold both his hands to support his weight. “ Here.. ” He murmured against my shoulder.
“ Of course is you. ” I smile softly then decided to piggyback him since he can’t walk anymore. Of course at first he struggle because he’s a brat after all, but still he let me to piggy him. I kept walking to direction where he told me. I try my best to walk as fast as I can, we can’t stuck here any longer because his body start to get hot already.
“ Yabu. ” I called him in a silence atmosphere.
“ Yabu! ” I turned around to see him because he’s not responding me.
“ Hmm? ” He finally replied me with a soft voice. I sigh in relief. “ Don’t sleep okay? ” I lifted him a bit to make him feel more comfortable.
30 minutes had passed. I’m finally able to get out from the forest. I smiled happily and quickly made my way go to the hotel.
“ Yabu we can get out already! ” I turned to look at Yabu, but I was shock because he face is getting so pale so pale like a paper.
“ Hold on Yabu we will reach the hotel soon. ” I’m so worried. Even though he’s a genius but he’s still a human. Of course he cannot bear with this pain any longer.
“ Sorry Yabu. I’m really sorry. You shouldn’t save m-- ”
“ Don’t go near Takaki again. ” He murmured against my neck that makes my heart race for no reason.
“ Why? ” I let out a soft question.
“ I don’t like it. ” He answered softly then closed both his eyes. I’m totally speechless. Why? Why you don’t like it? I’m not that dumb I just don’t want to bias toward myself, because I know the person he love is Arioka.
“ Isn’t that Yabu-san and Inoo-san?! ” Without I notice I almost reach the hotel already. Many staffs are running toward us panicky.
“ What happened to Kota?!!! ” Arioka pop up from nowhere exclaimed surprisingly as he push me away and hold Yabu instead of me.
“ He was bitten by a snake. ”
“ What?! You’re causing trouble for him! Do you know that!! ” He yelled at me and caresses Yabu’s pale face.
“ Stop it Dai-chan! Staffs-san hurry up and send him to hospital. ” Takaki turned to talk with the staffs that standing surrounds us.
“ Hai! Kouichi hayaku call the ambulance. We cannot let something bad happen to Yabu-san. ” Then everyone busy helping Yabu. Few minutes later the ambulance came. Arioka still hold Yabu tight not letting him go. I step backward and watch them from a far. Sorry Yabu that I can’t do anything, sorry for being useless, sorry for causing you into trouble. I’m nothing compare to Arioka. He’s here already so I have nothing to do here. Arioka sure will take good care of you better than me.
