Oh, the genga pieces are delicious. This is getting me wanting the jp release, too. >.<
Too bad, there is no seperate book for it. Through all of it is probably far too long. (The one for the Suzumiya Haruhi Movie, which happened to be shown in the interviews there is about as thick and big as a Shakespeare Hardcover complete collection... And that's even just a movie)

The boxes look nice, too. What is actually the diffrence between the Amazon-prices and the prices of that special store?

Amazon.jp generally gives 27% off retail price, far more than what other retailers give (if they even do). Buying from Gamers would mean paying the full 9,240 yen per volume for the BDs. They don't seem to ship overseas too as far as I know, so unless you can get it in Japan you'd have to use a proxy service, which means an additional service fee. (FYI: the first Gamers box is obtained from buying vol 1-4 and the second is 5-8. Their Vol.1 comes with a bonus B2 poster by Lily Hoshino. It's all limited though, so availability is uncertain at this point)

Additionally, Amazon's shipping fee is a little high but is quantity based instead of weight based, which makes bulk orders much more worthwhile. Their discounts alone make up for the shipping anyway, imo.

Thanks for the information. ^^

Guess I'll wait a while longer for overseas release, before I attack the jp releases out of despair... >.<

Subtitles? ext_1425932 October 2 2012, 19:03:05 UTC
Do the Japanese blurays come with Japanese subtitles? I'm learning Japanese and in my experience, having subtitles in the original language helps tremendously with Kanji learning and overall comprehension. The only JP bluray box I have is for K-ON!!, which does include JP subtitles for everything.

Unfortunately they don't. Japanese subtitles on JP anime releases aren't a very common thing as far as I'm aware.
