Writer's Block: Novel Ideas

Nov 01, 2008 02:37

Coming-of-age story of a 17th-century Scottish girl, plus pirates, political intrigue, romance, loss, unrequited love, and betrayal.

Already 694 words, but brain is dead, so am going to give it a bit of a rest before going on.

Sounds delightful! I'm working on a piece with a nautical theme and an English girl from either the 17th or 18th century. I was leaning more towards 18th but now that I'm looking up ship designs (I didn't research it beforehand - just started now) the 17th century seems more like what I had in mind. Not sure, must research.. Ah, and just so you know mine has a splash of scifi/fantasy and no political intrigue/very little romance so I doubt they're much the same. Good luck on your work.
