I must confess: I saw this model once in the flesh (brick?) and have been coveting it ever since. In addition to it being a very lovely model of a very lovely building, it is, I believe, the largest lego set (by number of bricks, although this record may have been surpassed when I wasn't paying attention). It's pricey and impractical and huge (I'd have to sacrifice precious real estate in the apartment to display it) but I want it with an unreasonable passion. It's expensive enough to be ridiculous but not so expensive to be unattainable with a little savings (and I've been doing a little saving for a "yea! I survived grad school" celebration). So maybe I will buy it, even though the money would probably be better spent getting myself a new bike.
