Juno was pretty awesome! ;D And I totally agree, I think they went a little overboard in parts with making the film understated, especially with Bleeker. Ah well, good film anyway, wasn't it? :D
I'll give you Superstar (right down to Adam being in the credits), but Meat as Doublemeat Palace...? As it's my least favourite Buffy of all time I've only seen it once but as far as I recall DMP's a comedy episode about the main character getting a job in a burger bar that she thinks is serving human flesh, but the secret meat turns out to actually a vegetable substitute; I don't see any connection to Meat beyond them both featuring the word in the title.
Well maybe that was a little bit of a stretch, but I just think this season hasn't appeared completely original in parts. I do think RTD has been heavily influenced by Jossverse, a little too much at times - but unfortunately he doesn't execute it as well as Joss does. Thanks for commenting ;)
The worst part of Meat/Adam - they were both written by the previously-considered-brilliant Cath Tregenna who gave us "Captain Jack Harkness" in season 1. Adam also cribs from a TW tie-in novel from last year called Border Princes. Given what I know happened to Jack before he came back to TW, I cut him some slack on the intense neediness he's got going on, where he wants Ianto there and Gwen beside him and Owen back from the dead and all of them together all the time.
Well now you put it that way Jack's neediness does seem more reasoned. The memory of what actually happened to Jack in the S1/2 gap is actually quite vague, I assume you're referring to the "year" of imprisonment Jack had to endure at the hands of The Master over on Doctor Who? Oh, I didn't know all that info, thanks for informing! ;D
