that was some of the most awesome animation i've ever seen... is that completely conventional? i mean, not digitalized in any way? the best part is when you first see the owl

It's completely done by hand using all sort of sliding glass panels and transparent cutout parts and things i don't pretend to understand (apparently the fog is all just dust left on the glass panes). The russian guy, yuri norstein, only ever works by hand and shoots with film because he says anything digital deeply disgusts him. And yeah, that owl is one of the most insane things ever animated. And I really really wish it were real.

and yes, we should for sure dayjunnayyy! eeeven though i'm not entirely sure what that means? Oh and especially since I just ordered this israeli gay romantic comedy on an amazon giftcard that rivals sommerstorm in its awkwardness of discovering sexual identities. except this time, it's political.

dayjunnayyy as in dejeuner. as in have lunch. like i could come to school and visit you, as weird as that kind of is. no, not really that weird. i'll get over it. but i will see you regardless, so brace yourself.
