It's not just the ninety years that he had locked her in a coffin. Rebekah feels, sometimes, like her brother is slipping away, and there is nothing she can do about it. She thought she would be the one to leave, really; she thought she'd be too headstrong and too... everything to stay with him. Because if there is anything certain about Nik, it is that he never changes. He is hers, always hers.
She had thought that knowing he killed her mother would drive her away, but Elena didn't give her that chance. Rebekah can't decide if she's grateful or resentful she didn't have to make the choice; but whatever, the bitch literally stabbed her in the back, and Rebekah really, really finds that sort of behavior completely unacceptable from a human

I am so glad you liked it! Seeing Rebekah's journey since the beginning as the foundation of her life has become shaky and Klaus has increasingly stated how alone he is despite her devotion.
But yet, what lovely times they must have shared, and still could.

Oh man, your Rebekah voice is so, so good! I think the reversal of Nik leaving her, when she'd always thought she'd be the one is stunning. And I think it captures their relationship incredibly well, because it's just as it is here; ridiculously intimate and ridiculously conflicted, and for them there may not be anything outside it. It's pretty canon that each of them considers it a betrayal for the other to search for or want anyone else. And I love that she needs an excuse to stay, even though she's always going to stay anyway. And the last two lines *HEARTS*
Also,
It's almost like he cares about the morals of this town and their little preferences that pretty pale girls get together with pretty pale boys that there is at least two generations of separation between them.

Thaaaaaaaaaaank you. :DDDD
I'm not a huge Rebekah fan yet I find her endlessly intriguing, since she tries so much to put forth an image of being careless, disaffected, in control, and all that, but she is so complex on the inside, and cares so much and needs this one thing, her brother, to hold onto and make her world okay. But sometimes she even believes her own image, and then hurts when she winds up having to be involved with someone she never really wanted.
LOLOLOLOLOL, THIS TOWN IS THEE ACTUAL WORST TBH.
GOD FOR REAL. WHAT SOUTH ARE THEY LIVING IN THAT LIKE THE TWO BLACK PEOPLE WHO EXIST ARE SUPER-LIGHT AND ALL WITCHES AND DOOMED TO NEVER HAVE REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH ANYONE OR EVEN TALK MUCH. In real life that's when we start asking which hotel the Klan convention is at so we can avoid that half of town.
