Alex had been in town just to give himself something to do (and to prevent thinking of any kind) so he came back a little wet and a little grumpy. He managed to keep the grumpy out of his voice when he greeted Griff with a, "You can get me an umbrella for my birthday."

Smirking at the sight of his damp and grumpy roommate, Griff cheered him with his piping hot coffee. "First I'd have to know when it was, Karev."

"March," he said, shaking his hands and hair out. "I should have actually stolen Tino's. Not like he couldn't have used a zombie arm as a makeshift umbrella."

"...that's a nasty image," Griff replied, making a face and sipping his coffee. "Maybe we should get you a poncho."

The class she'd just had was a nice reminder for Effy, that there was a certain person she'd promised to come talk to, and there was no way she'd miss the excuse to have this little chat with the ever so flaily Griff. Even still had her fuzzy STD with her. Might be helpful!

Effy gave her traditional doorway loitering a moment, before she added an, "Alright, Griff," of greeting.

Griff looked up at the voice and nodded, "Effy. Looking for Karev?"

"Nope." Poor Griff. The curl of a smile that grew at that should've been evidence enough. "Here to see you, actually."

And she was more than used to making herself at home in his room, albeit when he wasn't here, and moved away from the doorway to wander in.

That was a surprise for the boy and he gave her a quizzical look as he watched her wander in. "Oh? Some reason I've the honor?"

It'd been a long time since Rose had seen Griff so when she stopped by his room after classes, she was looking for him. As, it seemed, was everyone else

"...what are you doing?" Rose asked, eyeing Griff's half off the bed maneuver. "Did you break your back?"

He looked up and nearly fell to the floor. "Looking for a book. What are you doing?"

And there was snickering. "Making you fall off your bed?"

He quickly climbed back to sit upright; a bonus of being small and agile. "Almost. Might've made for a nice visit to the clinic. Smashed skull and all."
