It felt kind of wrong, but Griff hoped Karev was too injured to be pissed about what had happened the night before. Alex's shoulder hurt worst of all. He could deal with the bruised eye and cut cheek but goddammit, his shoulder ached.

Of course, that wasn't going to stop him from glaring at Griff like there was no tomorrow. Glaring and wondering what the hell that had been. He wasn't stupid to think that was normal, something anyone could do.

"You're not gonna die," he said grouchily, deciding not to launch right into things just yet.

"Do I need to take you to the frigging clinic?" Alex asked, peering over at Griff. "If it's not grinding, it's not broken. It'll heal. I've had my jaw broken before."
