I've been so looking forward to rereading this fic and it's everything I remembered and more! The scenes with Lupin, and with Sirius about Lupin, continue to be heart-wrenching and lovely. As is the juxtaposition between Regulus' vulnerability and his attempts at toughness. And, well, I know I've already told you what I love, but it just holds true, and it's wonderful to have the experience of coming back to a fic after some time has passed and feeling the same things as the first time around. And I've realized that the title is working for me on a whole nother level as well! Broken wizards, indeed. (Perhaps that should've been obvious the first time around and I'm slow, but better late than never, and it's great). Pleasure to reread this, and bookmarking those "you might also enjoy" links for after the holiday fest season rush!

This is brilliant. I love this poor, insecure, stuttering Regulus. It makes what he goes on to do even more brave. And I love the idea that Sirius tried to talk him out of being a DE. The relationships of both brothers with Remus feel plausible and awful and hot. Really complex characterisation all round. I love this fic!
