Heaven forbid

That just shows you care unlike the cops who investigated that bastard. But I'm sure you know all about Narco.

You don't want your people to distrust you.

Amen to that Detective. Amen to that.

....Although I think what will always get to me is how she...expected it to happen. expected us to fail.

All you can do is try to live above those kinds of expectations.

This doesn't get any easier to read.

It's better to care too much than not care, though.

Parents when I was growing up were hard on their children; Roman children are expected to do what they are told, study hard, to not be a nuisance, learn a trade and to grow up quickly and make their families proud. Of course...that might have just been mine. *sighs* However, the fact that any father could do anything like what I think you're implying here makes my blood run cold. It's one thing to discipline your son or daughter - proper morals and behavior are one thing, but - my father and mother loved me. They were hard on me, but I grew up to become exactly what my father had envisioned.

Well, mostly. I will never be the man he was, but I strive for honesty, loyalty, and ...

At any rate - Mr. Dent, do not let the 'bastards grind you down,' as my fascinatingly straightforward and annoying lieutenant Lancelot *shakes head* would try to remind me every day. You are one of the rare ones. Keep shaking your fist at evil - keep up the good fight - men like you are sorely needed in any time.

God watch over you.
