I've already broken my 'review things that I read' rule. D:

What does one say for a PWP other than it was hot?

And why do I have the urge to Beta, when I've never writen a fanfic? And how do I prove I could be a good Beta if I've never written anything. >/

Procrastination is not not not not awesome. T-T

You could comment on characterization? Speaking as one who has written a few PWPs, the hotness was one of the things I worried about the most but got the least feedback on. It's probably because I mostly write for a smaller fandom, but it is nice to hear whether I'm doing it right.

As to beta-ing, it depends on what the author wants out of a beta reader. Some authors want help with grammar and punctuation and so forth, while others want early feedback on flow or style; still others would want help with plausibility and characterization. Some people might even just want someone to kick them into working. You don't have to have written fanfic to offer help with these, I think, though it can help. Asking to find out what they're looking for and figuring out what you can help with would be a good first step, I think. If you're still not entirely confident, maybe you and an author could have a trial period or something.

...Er, yes. Hope I helped some, but feel free to ignore if I didn't ^^a

Yay me for replying so late, sorry about that.

I tend to comment on the characterization and story flow anyways so that I covered, but, PWPs often are OOC, so that's what kinda messed me up. Especially if it's a PWP that starts with character A being obsessed with character B, without background on how it happened.

As for betaing... Never done it before so your insight on what authors look for helps.
