Hello? This is Maria Santiago and Patamon. This is...the digital world, right?

It certainly FEELS digital, and you don't exactly get Bearmon just casually wandering around the forests of New Jersey or anything...

[Maria sounds somewhat amused.] You never know. I mean, New Jersey.

Icecream and gas is okay, and donuts sometimes, but we're not ( Read more... )

Um, I'm sorry? I've never heard of a lamp post in a digital world context.

Lightpost? lamp post? Either way it's how you teleport from one place to another.

you've been here before?

I've been to the digital world once before, when I was ten. We left it by a digital gate. I'm not looking to go to another place in this world, just back to the real world.

Tatum! Where is here exactly?

Short answer? Another Digital World that isn't connected to any 'Earth', per se. This is going to sound very odd but, this Digital World is connected to a variety of universes and timelines and some people are what you call 'brainbreakers'. Ryo's got a few, Koushiro has two, I've got one, just to name a couple. The kid that called you Aunt? She's my daughter in one timeline.

We have superheroes, Transformers, Duelists, people from other Digital Worlds, you name it we got it.

Ah...alright... Who are Ryo and Koushirou? And-- Tatum, a daughter already? This is very odd...

I'm afraid I don't know what Transformers or Duelists you're talking about.

CLOSE! No cigar just yet.

In any case, hey Maria, it's Raine from the Edmonton Digi-destined team. Dunno if I exist in your world or not.

Ah, I wasn't aware there were Chosen in Alberta, sorry...

Yeah, that's no problem. My world tries to DENY we exist considering we're kinda-sorta nuts in a good way.

Close though. Sooner or later someone from my world'll show up and I'll jump up and down for a few minutes squeeing like a fangirl or something.

So uh yeah, like Wallace said, we're stuck here. This digital world's like the Hotel California: you check in, you don't check out until the Big Tree says so.

Heh. I'm sure you can't be that bad. Really, though, a few more people in Canada might be getting partners but that doesn't make them Chosen; I was the only one I knew about.

...tree?

Oh, heya Maria. It's Wallace. Uh, it's actually a different Digital World. And we're kinda stuck here for the foreseeable future.

Hello, Wallace! It's been a while since I've heard from you.

...oh. Oh, dear... Is there a way to contact home? I'm supposed to be babysitting this afternoon...
