My only answer to question # 1.2 is probably because of the scandal Nitta-sensei was involved in a couple of years ago. But I could be wrong and she has other reasons for not giving permission/rights. I hope she'll be persuaded to give permission to license Haru Daki because it'll show how much we support her and love her works.
As for publishing company, I, for one, would prefer Drama Queen to take on the series. While not as big as June Manga, it's the only English publishing company that does a brilliant job with all the titles it licensed.
Ooh, I liked DQ's quality too but I haven't seen anything new from them in years, have they been releasing things lately? Their paper quality and production were probably my favorite of the publishers at that time.
Right, I do own a couple of books from Drama Queen and indeed the qualities are amazing. One can feel they really did put their minds and hearts in publishing those books.
Thank you very much for your support and contribution!
I can't fault DQ's quality, but the publisher itself is like a black hole. Every so often it coughs up some random release, and then nothing for months and years. Definitely NO to DramaQueen - too unreliable.
I'm not sure if I WOULD buy a set if it was re-released in English, so I can't go all out to support this campaign. Much rather prefer the publishers to concentrate on sensei's newer and ongoing works. Otodama for example, I would like to see volume 2 of that. And of course, Kisu Ariki.
I did try to go to the forum at Nitta's official website but somehow my antivirus program doesn't want me to go there, don't know if there's anything wrong with that forum ~~
Well, I'm on it and it works fine. Yet haven't seen anything about it there. Just that some fans posted they want the reprint of the series.
I really hope that the new addiction 'e-manga' can make this dream become reality! I mean it's better having the series as digital release than being stuck.
Oh so you can visit that forum? Yeah the English section is managed by Animate U.S.A so I guess if there's any official answer it's most likely theirs, not Nitta Youka's.
I really hope HWD be licensed in physical books again, aaah, I love the feeling holding the real books and then look at the whole collection on my bookshelf *drool* Guess I won't be satisfied with the digital version orz.

Good luck with the campaign!
