There are no words to describe how insulted I felt after watching this movie. The worst investment of my money and time I have ever had the displeasure of wasting in a very. Long. While.

I've heard a lot of mix reactions but so far..yours is the strongest.

Honestly. I just...OH WOW.
Despite my realization that it's an adaptation, it was so heinously done, with the most cliched and atrocious script, along with some VERY shoddy 3-D animation in some parts (I could SEE pixellation).
This movie had NOTHING to do with Alice, and being somewhat of a diehard fan, it was just...insulting to see Burton slap that name onto his soulless, un-whimsical 'franchise'.

That's a real shame, mom and I are actually quite looking forward to this. Probably still going to see it for the hell of it, but will not expect as much from it now.

I might be having more of a violent reaction because I've always been a diehard Alice fan, but STILL. There were so many things just utterly WRONG with the movie, and this is coming from someone who actually ENJOYS older Burton movies and generally likes his aesthetic style.

Oh, trust me, you won't ruin it. I already had some slight doubts with the whole grown up Alice going back to Wonderland thing. Once I made the connection, it reminded me of Hook. Truthfully, I was expecting more from the visuals than the plot to begin with but hearing about pixellation is quite disappointing.

As one who also liked his older works, it's just disheartening but everyone has their good, bad, and ugly. Just have to wait and see which one this movie falls into. =/
