I am a lithographer! or I was in university! poor litho, nobody loves it. I found that the results were worth all the excessive effort but most people just give up early on. please do not hestitate to discuss technicalities with me as you become a lithographer as well.

that's awesome, thanks laura! i heard that at the art school here too, litho had the fasted drop out rate. but yeah the results seem to be the closest to drawing, and it feels like there's more control over the image. i will keep in touch with any questions!

yeah, I don't know how many times I had to listen to "oh yeah, you're in printmaking? well, I really want to take the intro course, but I don't want to do litho and they won't let me just do the intaglio half..." at school. but I liked flat colour and we didn't really have screenprinting and now that I've done more of that I still don't feel like it looks as nice. and litho is more versatile when you have the facilities for it, there are so many things you can't do well with silkscreen.
