Don't get me wrong, Prop 8 was a joke and I can't believe it passed.

However, a company's marketing manager shouldn't represent the company as a whole. He's just another employee who can be hired or fired at will.

If Dell itself donated the money then yeah, I would have to say fuck Dell.

Agreed, but on the flipside, some companies have individuals within their organization donatye moeny so that the company itself is not held as supporting such a measure.

He's likely not your average employee to be hired and fired if he's doing so well in this financial crisis that he can donate 25,200 dollars.

He's either a high up executive who's got a really fat salary to the point where he's got nothing better to do with it or he's donating on behalf of Dell and using his name.

Yeah it's definitely possible he donated on behalf of Dell, but I would want to know for sure before I pass judgment on the company itself.

Marketing managers can make an ass load of money, six figures or more.

Yeah that's some crap. Screw people who have too much money and use it for awful things.

Oh, and btw hey. It's joie_tyger from back in the day. Same journal, just renamed. I ran across the archived files to my old website back in 2002 and saw all the Leirune stuff and thought of you. Then LJ posted about its tenth birthday stuff (they're writing a book, what the heck...) and I thought, "Gosh, Youlie was the one that gave me my invite code that fateful day seven years ago..." Thought I'd drop by and say hello. Hope you're doing well. :)

Love,
Breee

I just remembered my password (I had changed it to have a number in it so the damn thing would stop nagging me and then I promptly forgot it.)

Hey to you. I was wondering about how you were doing. I haven't heard from you in years.

How are you?

I'm pretty good, how about you? I finished college, have a nasty day job that I hate while looking for an art job, and am just doing the Adult Life thing. Not as fun as one might think, I've discovered. I'm trying really hard to make it happen though! I don't think I've touched Furcadia in over four years... I bet they erased my character, hehe! So how are you? What's going on? You still in Texas (I think that's where you lived... right?) How is Emrys? And the kitties?

If your characters had portrait spaces they will never EVAR expire. I yoinked a few names that did expire (like the names of Lodril and Breee's girls) but I haven't been using them at all.

Still in Texas. Emrys is doing ok. He seems to have a stable job, his work has stopped with the layoffs. Cats are ok.

Stuffystuff.

Adult life isn't great, is it?

I'm still keeping Leirune up, though, I've been waiting for 24 bit so I can make the map new and pretty and shiny. Rumor says it's Soon™.
