The Pheonix Out of The Ashes!

Apr 16, 2006 13:53

Christ is resurrected in me as an awareness of all that I am and all that I am capable of being; Like the Pheonix rising anew from it's ashes....In Christ, I am whole and free. I am wise and understanding ( Read more... )

Happy Easter, Dúnadan!

I know you don't consider yourself so, but you really are a shining example of how a follower of Christ is supposed to be. Just by living the way you do, you're an inspiration to other true Christians, a rebuke to the hypocrites and the 'lukewarm' who call themselves 'Christian', and proof to non-Christians that Christianity can be a good and beautiful path.

We love you, and miss you (a LOT), and wish you all peace and joy, this day and every day. *hugs hugs hugs*

.....Wow! I am EXTREMELY touched and taken back by such words....I don't think I've ever been given a bettr complement. at least when it comes to my faith. "I have no other answer to give but thanks, thanks, and EVER THANKS!" -William Shakespeare. If I saw you I would give you the grandest hug I could...You have given methe best complement one could give a person on the walk and path that I have chosen. I would put my great appreciation into words if I could. But know that leaving me speechless is the best respnse I could give.
And Wow1 Alas! How MUCH it means coming from you! I will tell you what I want to say to you next time I see you. For it deserves to only be said between you and I.
In loving service,
~Dunadan

*hugs you lots more* It's only the truth, gwador vell. What you do is exactly what 'witnessing' is supposed to be - not going around knocking on strangers' doors with a bunch of tracts, nor preaching and pontificating - just living every day the way your Lord told you to live, to the best of your ability, because you love Him.

You know Christianity isn't my path, and never will be - yet I can honestly say that I love Jesus too, for the wisdom of His teaching and the courage of His example, and if everybody were to live that way, whatever their 'beliefs', the world would be so much better. You're one of the very few Christians I know who actually does live that way, and it's just so awesome.

*grins* Oh, and by the way...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

... so when will we see you again? If your finances won't allow you to come up here before you leave for Colorado, I think Liran, Morchalad, Orodriel and I will just have to road-trip our merry Elven way down there, because there's absolutely no way we can let you go without hugging you in person.

That's teh spirit! hope all is well down there, here's some Tao te ching stuff:

(1) The spirit one can talk about is not the eternal spirit, and what you can name is not the eternal name. Nameless-Tao is the beginning of the heavens and the Earth. If you name it-it is no more than Matter.
Therefore: he who conceives of nature freely grasps this Spirit and he who strives for material things is left with only the shell. Spirit and matter are both one in their origin, yet different in appearance. This unity is a mystery-truly the mystery of all mysteries, the gate to all spirituality.
8) Generosity is like the Waters. It is a balm to all beings and rejects none. It dwells in places shunned by the masses, and therefore close to the Spirit. Generosity seeks out in dwellings the humble, in thinking depth, in giving love, in speaking truth, in ruling justice, in work knowledge in all our deeds the proper time. Generosity does not reject and therefore will not be rejected.

Aiya, muindor vell,

Yet another bright and beautiful post.
Meneg hennaid!
And, such kind words in response.
Love's warmth encourages and spreads outward, like Spring sunshine.

As I prepare to leave this place, I am thinking about the things this time has brought to me.
Sorrow and dissappointment, to be sure, but also the most profound love - which I continue to experience. In this, I am more fortunate than I had ever dared to dream. And, the light within continues to illuminate my small part of the Work, helping and gently guiding.

I hope the untraveled roads fade, and the true road continues to increase in clarity and joy.
I remember the tears of the phoenix heal.

Hmmm. Feeling a bit Ruth-ish about the last reference in your post. Maybe you can help me with it, later, when the packing dust has settled.
Speaking of which, back to pani..., uh, packing.

Happy Spring!
Happy Earth Day!

Meleth a esrinc milui,
~ Ren

Hi Kris,
I lift you up in thoughts and prayers. I have been doing this, and will continue to do it....Thank you VERY much for the part for The Sacred Tree. It is most wonderful! It always makes me so excited/happy when I read something that is so elequintly described and put down in written form....Because for me, it isn't something that is natural for me. I have had to work at it and develope it. It's something that still tkaes time for me...But it IS something I want to become very good at, so I just ekkp learning, practicing and traing myslef with it.
I have something I want to type out in regard to writing, esspecially when it comes to metaphysical/spiritual things that Andodea Judith wrote in her book "Wheels Of Life." Buut I don't have time to find it right now since I'm at work...So, we'll just have to save it for another time:)
