There are so many times that Tom used his gifts and powers to hurt that he has a long way to go to make up for it. Legilimency, in particular, is something he can use to help, and he's promised Havelock he'd do what he can to help Puck.Knowledge is trapped, somehow, in Puck's mind. River slides into the booth, after a moment, and tucks her feet under the bench below.

She's not wary, exactly. Not quite. But -- well.

Tom is, and River's hesitatance is not unrelated.

River studies him. And the air around him; her gaze drifts sideways, skids back, drifts away again.

Except those photographs are in someone else's brain, and oftentimes the photo albums are in ridiculous disarray.
