So I have applied to Wash U and Macalester. now I would be excited, but this acknowledges that sooner rather than later I will have to make on MY OWN a decision in which I Will not be able to make everyone happy, and I will invariably have nightmares during decision making process, and then feel like I made the wrong decision

College is about you, what YOU want to get out of it, and not about what everyone else wants to see you do. It's the indelible stamp that affects your adult life when looking for a job. It's the background you will take with you and learn and grow on.

Sounds like you're having a fabulous year! You need to post pics of the hair either here or on facebook. Oh, and I use lip-liner for my brows- specifically "terra kiss" from Walgreens. I can't remember the brand, but it's really inexpensive and usually in a display on the counter in the makeup department.

I am confident that you will make the right decision. What I recommend is to write down what you think other people want you to do, then crossing it out, and then write down the pros and cons of each school for what you want out of it. This will help you keep in mind that you have to do this for YOU and not for anyone else ;)

I agree with Steve. College is about YOU not trying to make everyone else in your life happy. You need to pick the college you want to go to for you. I am eager to see this RED hair! I have always known you as a blonde so it will be a shock but I am sure it looks smashing! :)

Choosing a college is a tough choice, especially for someone as smart as you! We really need to chat some time it has been to long, and I would like to give you some of my personal opinions in private.
