I SO very much hated joseph conrad when i first read heart of darkness. the very idea of reading the book again made me want to die of insanity. i reread it last year (mostly because i couldn't remember what the book was about.) it gets better with age, although i still don't think i learned what i was supposed to. but at least you're through it and can move onto a better version of crazy. Macbeth is loads of fun.

I still don't like Conrad. Suffer through it so you can get on to the fun that is Macbeth!

We watched what I think is the newest movie version of Macbeth in class--if you haven't seen it you must---but watch it in a house without kids--they use nurses as witches and the first scene where they appear will give any small child nightmares--it's an amazing scene but super creepy

I'm so proud of you, baby girl! A couple of years ago this list would have made you hyperventilate and cry ;)
