[The feed starts up, showing a youth with an Oddish in his lap from above. It's pretty clear that he's not used to this sort of technology, particularly when he flips it over a few times before finally holding it in front of him.Ah, hello? I hope I'm using this correctly ( Read more... )

So this place is organized when bringing people here. Interesting.

Cherrygrove... That was just down the road from New Bark, wasn't it? Relatively speaking.

So it's a bit of a travel. I'll have to be sure to find someone, then.

Higher level...? What do you mean?

[A certain someone overhears the broadcast.]

Same boat, huh?

[He looks up from the gear.]

That's what it's looking like. I've overheard others saying much the same.

So whatever is going on here, it's pulling people in en masse. I'm not sure how to feel about that.

Not only that, but everyone is deposited in one of two towns... Though I'm not sure which one the other is supposed to be. It seems a little suspect when you consider how large this place is, don't you think?

[[Oh, is it really new arrivals time again? She hadn't been paying much attention, but the topic of breeding has.]]

If you've not already heard, your next step would be to head to Cherrygrove. There is only one exit in New Bark, and that would be the one you will need to take.

You are indeed not the only one in such predicament. There are quite the amalgamation of us who've been brought to and stranded in Johto for one reason or another. Some from the same universe, but there is a very good chance you will know very few people here initially.

As for Pokemon Breeding, it isn't as questionable as it sounds, once you've the knowledge of all it entails. Honestly, if done properly, it's rather quite useful.

I had heard as much about Cherrygrove, but it's good to have it confirmed. Although... universes, you say?

...I suppose that would make sense considering this is clearly a different world from mine, but hearing it... Well, it suddenly feels like a bit much to take in, as silly as it sounds. Perhaps I'm still in shock from the abrupt change in environment.

[He pauses to scratch his head thoughtfully before continuing.]

But I digress. Breeding, you say? From the sounds of it you're experienced on the matter.

Yes, universes. Quite a few. And that isn't silly at all.

Quite understandable, on the contrary. Though the situation is differential from person to person, I assure you that you are not the only one to experience a rather abrupt change.

Yes, breeding. I've done a fair amount of studying into the matter, though I most certainly am not the only experienced breeder present. Someone has managed to open a Breeding Centre in Goldenrod even.

However, I certainly know enough to answer questions you may have.

It is a comfort to know there are other breeders I can exchange notes with. I'll have to check out that Centre once I can make it to Goldenrod.

Regarding breeding itself, though... Well, let's start out with something simple. Are there any tips or tricks you can offer on how to start out? I understand of course that I will need to acquire other Pokémon for breeding purposes, and that they must be similar types, but I'm sure there is more to it than that.

From what I've heard, there are only two possible places you can end up; but what happened to you happened to me and both of my friends. [A pause.] There's only one route from New Bark, and that's to the next city: Cherrygrove. It's an adventure!

That's what I've heard. The people here are pretty helpful, aren't they?

Looks like I'm late again, huh? [He takes a beat to chuckle, and says it to himself more than anything.] It's probably because we're all in the same situation.

It's still appreciated. And I suppose that would foster a sense of camaraderie.
