I just happened upon this community, and saw the line about Hampton Roads. I live in Norfolk, and my husband is deployed :9( We all need all the support we can get.

I hear ya. Sorry for the late responce ... I have been avoiding LJ for awhile ... until my friends start yelling at me to come back. *haha* What branch is your spouce?? Mine is a Coastie. And we live in Elizabeth City, North Carolina .. which is about 45min to an hour away from Norfolk. Nice too meet you! =0) How long have you been living in Norfolk? Are you from there? He's in the Navy and deployed Aug. 1st :9( I've been in Norfolk for about 4 months. We eloped in January and I moved down here April 9th. I'm originally from Upstate NY ... like waaaayyyyy Upstate -- 2 hrs from Canada.

Oh gosh! I have never lived that close to the Canadian boarder ... yet I am from the north, in Maine. Man I miss it some days, as of course I love it ... but I don't think I would ever want to move back there. *hahaa* But things might change as the years move on. *shrug* Congrats on the marriage! This area definately takes some getting use to. But I have live here for a little over two years and I'm still learning. =0)
