Dear UPS,
Please deliver my ring faster! I want it! 'Kay, thanks. :)

Ames only woke up once during the night last night. I am so proud. haha Hopefully we are getting closer to sleeping through the night! I think if I could get more than 4 consecutive hours of sleep, I would probably cry.

I'm not sure how the day care thing is going to pan out. ( Read more... )

if you buy a good quality pump, you can give your little one bottles of your milk rather than formula. depending on the size of the company you work for and what kind of job, many places are required to allow you time and a place to pump.

My mom works for the same company that I do, and she said she thinks they have a place where I could go to pump. So at least I wouldn't have to give up nursing just yet. She is going to check on my hours today to verify that my schedule is still what I think it's going to be.

6 weeks is so soon to be going back to work (i waited a whole 10 weeks... lol and it was still too soon!) but don't give up on nursing yet. even if you have to supplement with formula when you are away, your body will adjust to the schedule of 8 hours off if it has to. but try to pump at least once, if not 3 times during your shift.

is nursing the reason for the no margaritas? from what i have seen in studies, your milk does not store alcohol. the only time there is enough to worry about is if you are drunk. (if you can feel the alcohol affecting you, then don't nurse the little one.)

He'll be 8 weeks when I'm going back, but yeah.. It feels soon! We could use the extra income, but as you can see, it's not really looking like I'd even be accumulating that much.

I have only had a glass or two of wine at home since Ames was born. I don't turn 21 until July, so that's why I don't get to participate in 1/2 price margaritas. :)

Yeah.. My parents both work, and my sister, my aunts, and my grandparents all live across town. I would have to drive across town, back to my job (which is like, 3 blocks from where I live), and then back across town to get him, and then back home. It would be a total of about 2 hours driving every day.. =/

Thank you! I've always been told that I look younger than I am, but I'm 20. :)

Ames is pronounced "aims". Like James with no "J". :) I am from Des Moines, Iowa, and Ryan is from Kansas City, Missouri. We met at Iowa State University which is in Ames, Iowa. So that's where we got the name. :)

Lol yeah, a lot of people who have never heard it pronounced either read it as "Ah-mez" or "Aim-us".
