I got to talk to Ryan!! :) Granted, it was only a 5 minute long phone call, but still.. It made my night! He said they just got back from 2 weeks in the field, and he sounded very very tired. I wanted to keep talking, but I told him to get some sleep and he promised to call me tomorrow. It's amazing how much you come to appreciate little things

Aw, I'm glad you got to talk to him! :) When is he due to come back?

He'll be stationed in California for at least the next couple of years. Ames and I will be moving out there with him after his deployment to Afghanistan.

He's going to Afghanistatn??? Oh man :/ I support the troops, but you are very strong. I couldn't handle it, lol.

He got deployed to Okinawa, Japan right before I found out I was pregnant. He got home from that deployment 2 weeks before my due date and then had to leave for California 2 days after Ames was born. We just found out that he's going to be deployed to Afghanistan this summer, so.. yeah.. It sucks. But we'll make it!

my boy gets a bath pretty much every night right after he eats, then he nurses until he falls asleep, it works pretty well that way for us.
