The weekend was surprisingly grand, but I've not yet decided whether I'll make a public post about it all. I suspect it'd all be couched in too much vague language to make any sense.
Well, when all is said and done, I am leaving of my own accord. I did what I set out to do: ensured we remained salient by choosing to transfer to Atlanta. When living in two places at once (more or less) ceased to be to our benefit, I resigned my position. I'm not bitter about it. I understand the corporate world, and even though they could have worked with me in order to keep me, I know that this is a thing they will not do. I bear none of them any malice, and I am working to ensure that my two replacements know all the ropes there are to know.
And I really don't think anybody noticed the Docs, and if somebody did do, s/he's forgot by now.

So, wait, you're still working? How many days/weeks in the TX office until it's officially over?

They asked me to extend my time in the office, so I'm working till 18 April.

When one knows one does not have much time left a job all kinds of interesting behaviors come out. From everybody.
I like it think it is when true qualities shine through.
Leaving on a positive note can be tough.
