What was the longest road trip you ever went on? How did you pass the time?

My friend, Michelle, describes her part of Cali as 'Iowa by the sea', which is quite indicative.

Some of my fondest kin are in Cali, thus I'm keen on the places they live - none of which are really on the 5. XD

I've been up that stretch of the 5. The only time that it even looks semi-pretty is in the spring when the California poppies are blooming.
