He was just so charming. Steven Knight is a very sweet guy - looks like your typical suburban dad really. One of the funniest things DC said which I see he's used in interviews was (much paraphrasing on my part) 'Steven tends to fall in love with his characters and then puts in all kinds of details that are hopeful and loving - I do my best to squash them all out'.

They both seemed to like the interaction with the audience who were definitely into the movie. LOL, the guy next to me had such a DC crush! Every joke DC made, he would give this huge giggle/laugh that was so delighted and happy that it made me laugh more.

Lucky lucky you. I'm super jealous now! I found out in the span of half an hour the other night that apparently there is such a thing as the Helsinki International Film Festival (done with mega flair and all that since I've never heard it called that before. In Finnish the festival is called "Love and Anarchy"), that they are showing Eastern Promises ONCE at this festival and that I will be out of town that weekend:( Well I hope they add more showings since not all the films and theatre times were confiremed yet. And I'm sure we'll get it in theatres, in say A YEAR! GRRRRRRR.

Oh man I do feel for you - it's like the whole Alatriste thing in the US which still isn't available even on DVD. The painful thing here is that no one advertises anything because all these film clubs etc have a built-in membership so half the time you find out only in time to not be able to buy any tickets!

The movie was fantastic - you'll love it I think - I hope it comes sooner than you think.
